Whitesnake: Alternative Universe

Basic Information[]

Whitesnake: Alternative Universe (commonly shortened to "WSAU") is a non-canon Stand of Alternate Universe Pucci. Because it is non-canon, the Stand has a backstory where Pucci took the path of a sadist, where he would torture his victims for hours on end.

Whitesnake: Alternative Universe is a close-ranged Stand. Its abilities are similiar to its main universe counterpart, Whitesnake, but with stronger and fast hard hitting attacks. It has outstanding coverage, being able to fight close-range and long-range efficiently. When used correctly, it is undeniably powerful.

Whitesnake: Alternative Universe is D+ Tier in Rarity and S Tier in PvP.

How to Obtain[]

Whitesnake: Alternative Universe is obtained by using an Arrow on Standless with a 1% chance. Another way to obtain Whitesnake: Alternative Universe is by Trading.

Moveset[]

Whitesnake: Alternative Universe does a barrage that deals 5 damage per punch.
This has a 5 second cooldown.
Swift Triple Strike

Whitesnake: Alternative Universe sends 3 punch at high speeds with each punch dealing 25 damage each punch.
This has a 3.5 second cooldown.
Disc Throw

Whitesnake: Alternative Universe throws a disc that follows where the user is facing and deals good damage.
This has a 1/3 chance to give Standless users the following stands: Anubis, The World, Vampiric The World, Gold Experience, and Star Platinum.
This has a 7 second cooldown.
Acid Charge

Whitesnake: Alternative Universe spits acid onto its hand and slaps the target with the hand, dealing 80 damage.
This has a 15 second cooldown.
Disc Steal

Whitesnake: Alternative Universe steals the target's ability, disabling them.
This has a 30 second cooldown.
Uzi Fire
Vkey
The user will pull out an Uzi and shoot about 30 shots dealing 7.5 damage each shot that is hit. Godly damage if used right.
Cooldown is 5 seconds, Deals 220 damage if all shots hit.


Combos:[]

F + Y + R (Can one-shot most stands, even if they have good durability. Make sure that R fully kills them off, if it doesn't, they will recover their stand and end up countering you or run away.)

F + E + Y + R (Steal their disc, use your E/barrage, use the Y/Acid Spit move, and finish it with the R/Triple Punch Combo.)

F + E (Good due to the enemy being unable to defend themselves after the F move lands.)

R + T (A very good and spammable combo. Can be used to keep the enemy away from you. It is recommended to use the T move after the enemy stands back up as it will not always land.)

R + Y + F + V (Does a godly amount of damage. Can kill anybody if done right, although sometimes the combo can miss.)

E + R + V (Basic combo. Deals godly amounts of damage if all three punches on the R move hit.)

(Try using this combo if you're at mid range) V + R + Y + E + T + F (Another insane damage combo. This one is better at medium range, though. If the enemy tries to run after the V move, it is recommended to use Z to Stand Jump into their range.)

F + E + R + Y + V + T +(An infinite combo if repeated. This is better to practice on players as Menacing Dummys can't run away.)

F + R + Y + T + V + E (This combo can one-shot most players. This is a combo that must be carried out quickly or the effects of the F move would stop being active on the enemy, allowing them to use their Stand again.)

V(The gun can one-shot anyone that's new to the game.)

Pros and Cons[]

Pros:[]

  • Amazing damage output.
  • Good durability.
  • Great zoner.
  • Very good block (90% reduction).
  • Great combo potential.
  • Y is hold-able, allowing you to bait opponents in.
  • T is controllable since it moves in the direction the player faces.
  • T can give Standless players a 33.3% chance of obtaining the following stands: Anubis, Gold Experience, The World, Vampiric The World, and Star Platinum.
  • F disables other players' movesets.
  • V outputs enough projectiles to guarantee at least a few hits.
  • V has no spread, allowing precise aim.
  • Can bypass Love Train and Return To Zero with F and Y.

Cons:[]

  • Opponents can still run away and prevent you from dealing damage after using F on them.
  • Can struggle against faster stands/specs.
  • Lacks mobility.
  • Can get predictable after a while.
  • Disk Steal is immediately canceled after using R.

Battle Tips[]

Most of these tips can also work with Whitesnake.

Using WSAU:[]

  • WSAU is pretty good at both close-ranged and long-ranged combat. For example, if you are fighting against a stand that's more suited for close range, like Jotaro's Star Platinum (they deal insane damage at close-range), you can keep your distance and use your ranged attacks, like the Uzi and Disc Throw. The uzi can deal a lot of damage in a short timespan.
  • You can be defeated by time stop if you are not careful. When your enemy is about to Stop Time, then you can use your Stand Jump to escape their range.
  • At close range, you can use your F move to steal the enemy's Stand Disc. If hit, the enemy's abilities will be disabled for about 5-7 seconds. This can give you the time to deal alot of damage to your enemy.
  • Don't forget to use your block. WSAU has a good block that has 90% damage reduction. (For example, TWOH/SPOH's Overwrite move (90 damage) will deal only 9 damage if blocking.)

Fighting against WSAU:[]

  • Its good to keep your distance against WSAU users, as they can disable your ability, rendering you useless until you are ragdolled, and giving them enough time to kill you as long as they don't ragdoll you. Even blocking won't save you from having your ability disabled.
  • You could also bait their F move by moving away before they steal your disc.
  • Zoners could beat WSAU, as long as they keep dodging WSAU's ranged attacks.
  • Stands/specs with faster attacks and greater mobility such as Shadow The World and Ultimate Life Form can beat WSAU if played correctly.

Trivia[]

  • WS:AU is one of the two rarest stands you can obtain from an arrow currently, the other being Star Platinum: The World. (Both 1% chance to obtain from an arrow.)
  • Whitesnake: Alternative Universe only has 1 voiceline, which is: "It's Mine!"
  • The 3-Punch combo (R) has the same animation as Bootleg Pot Platinum's Triple Combo (R), and Shadow The World's Shadow Combo (R).
    • Coincidentally, they all also share the same keybind.
  • Uzi was intended to be un-blockable making it a great counter to stands with high block strength. This feature has been removed, as bullets are blockable now.
  • Whitesnake: Alternate Universe's Acid Strike (Y) move is one of the strongest specials in the game, it is right behind the Over Heavens' Reality Overwrite (T), as Acid Strike does only 10 less damage than Reality Overwrite.
  • It has been often used for grinding for rare arrow stands.
    • However, WS:AU is not good for stands such as legendaries or shinies unrelated to stands WS:AU can give.
  • Whitesnake: Alternative Universe's model used to just be an older version of Whitesnake's model.
